Hi,

One should be able to input from a particular list and also when they click the dropdown button, be able to select from the list.

Any help would be appreciated.

JSP will be of no help. JSP is simply a templating language for generating HTML. See this article for more info.

To create composite controls such as you describe, you'll need client-side juju.

As such, this has been moved to the HTML/JavaScript forum.

What you seek is generally called an "auto-completer".

One popular implementation is from jQuery UI.

A google search will reveal many more implementations.
