I see on the Oracle website that currently they offer certification for JEE5 (OCMJEA). Is it worth it? If I start preparing for JEE5 and they eliminate it when introducing the certification for JEE6, this will mean I have lost a bit of time.
Please advise.

They do not typically just end any exam - they usually have two exams available concurrently for 6 months. From memory, when the SCJD exam was last updated, it was nearly 2 years between when they started providing the new exam and when they announced end-of-life for the previous exam.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
