WAS 6.1 and ICU4J Dependencies issue

Hello,

We are using Websphere 6.1 as our application server, and we want to use ICU4J version 4 or above in our application, for doing this we have put icu4j jar in our application lib but now the issue is our Websphere also contains a jar of ICU4J older version 3.4 and at runtime application refers to this old version file and we are getting issues.

Now the question i have is.
1. Is it possible to replace the JAR of Websphere to the latest version, if so how to do it and will it causes any compatibility issue for WAS 6.1?
2. If 1 is not possible than how to make the application refer to the jar which is present inside ear instead of referring to JAR from the server.

any help regarding this is truly appreciated
