Who should I contact in order to request a demotion for myself?

Hi,

I noticed I am now a RanchHand. Can I get changed back to Greenhorn on a permanent basis? The more I learn about Java, the more I find out how much MORE there is to learn! :-)

Thanks a barrel-full. I'll leave to your imagination what is in that barrel. :-)

I've got just enough Java knowledge to royally screw everything up. :-)

if you read this, you'll see that the title only means you've made 30+ posts. It is not meant to imply how much, if any, knowledge of Java you have.

Don't worry. The difference between Greenhorn and Ranch Hand is related to the number of posts you've made, not how much you know.

See http://www.coderanch.com/how-to/java/SaloonTitles for details of what they all mean. Ranch Hand is the last change you'll get automatically .

I know what it means, I just find the title Greenhorn to be much closer to my actual status in both this forum, AND in terms of my knowledge of Java, therefore if possible, I'd like to keep that title. :-)

No one has ever asked for this before, so I thought I'd give it a try. As you can see it's not quite right, but I think it gets the point across

Ernest,

Thank you, you are a scholar and a gentleman! Since I've never met you, I guess it is obvious that first sentence could be true or false, but from my POV you are. :-)

This new label will forever keep me grounded, and far from the temptations of disseminating my guesses as facts on this forum.

I have not thought about that game in years! I miss the times when a simple container of molded pieces of plastic was a game worth playing. Now-a-days if it is not completely immersive, nobody wants anything to do with it. Or at least that is how I see it. Since I am not into this whole "Social Media" thing, I've been accused of being out of touch, so perhaps that applies here too.

Need to logoff. Having a flashback about playing Don't-Break-the-Ice. :-)
