Please do not post in all caps. It's considered shouting and is rude to do.

As for your question - I'm not sure why you want to migrate from EAP 5 (the paid and the better version) to JBoss AS5 community edition. Usually it's the other way around.

There can be any number of reasons and it's hard to guess. What URL are you using? Are you accessing it from the same machine as the server?

thanks for reply

actully my application is running on differenet machine so i want to take a copy of that app on my local machine but i have jboss AS 5.

welcome page is index.jsp
context set as /app_name

but that index.jsp is in a folder name 'apps' with WEB-INF so i have to give url like "http://localhost:8080/app_name/apps"

WEB-INF have web.xml and i copy a file jboss-web.xml with data

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<jboss-web>
/app_name</jboss-web>

and copy META-INF with WEB-INF and 'app' folder which have my index.jsp file.

This sound you your file is WEB-INF/apps/index.jsp
You cannot do that because files in WEB-INF are not accessible via a URL. If that is not what you have, please list the contents of your WAR file (run "jar -tl xxx.war" and post the output).

I just copy my application folder from jboss EAP 5 on Linux OS and paste in jboss5/server/defualt/deploy directory on Window OS.
So i dont use .war file i just add .war to the name of folder.

my web application have two folder WEB-INF and Employee.
Employee have index.jsp file
So, URL for index.jsp is "http://localhost:8080/EmployeeTrack/Employee/index.jsp".

WEB-INF have web.xml file with welcome-list tag have /index.jsp.

thanks

That still qualifies as a war file, albeit in exploded form.

WEB-INF have web.xml file with welcome-list tag have /index.jsp.

Then the welcome-list element is incorrect then. It should be Employee/index.jsp, if that's where the jsp is located.
