Ok so I cleared scjp 1.6 last October and I've been studying Servlets, JSP etc. I never studied them in as detail as needed for these exams, I just know basics(actually much more than basics but you know..). So can anyone recommend me books for this exam?

There's charles lyons 1.5 book available here but I need to prepare for 1.6 . I heard that head first isn't as detailed as needed and doesn't complete all the topics so what would you guys recommend.
I've to give the exam by 31st july.
Is there any head first book available for this exam(latest one)?
Thanks in advance for all the replies

as of now there is no head first book available for ocewcd 6(1z0-899 exam). the current edition is for scwcd 5. yes there is book by charles lyons and i think it has hit in the uk amazon site. i don't know when it will be available here in india(assuming you are from india). what you can do is dig deeper in this forum. this question has been asked lots of time. also checkout the certification result forum as there people who have cleared the exam have posted their strategy, books, materials, sources everything. since you have to give exam by 31st july so i guess there is no point waiting for head first book so you should learn everthing from head first 5 book and prepare the other topis from here and there. all the best.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm from India, L charles book (1.5)is available here so should I use that or head first? Plus there can't be too many changes between 1.5 and 1.6 right? I can read all the new topics or new specifications online. Again thanks for the reply.

i haven't read the book by charles. but head first is really awesome just like its programmer book counterpart for scjp/ocpjp. yes there are certain topics which you have to read from other sources , as the new exam is based on servlet 3.0 specification so download the latest servlet specifications as well. i'am also preparing for the exam but i have got quite some time to give the exam as opposed to you. people who have cleared the exam have read the specifications . and as i have said in the previous post checkout the certification results for other ranchers. you will get lot of help from their exam experience and their strategy.
