Any thoughts/opinions on constructing the SCJD project as an OSGI application?

The SCJD projects are pretty basic; I don't really see what OSGi would buy you for those. Plus, it's not going to earn you extra points. And lastly, are you even allowed to use 3rd party libraries?

Nope.

The SCJD assignment is just a J2SE home project without bling bling

That's an easy one: no 3rd party libraries allowed! Your application must compile by using only classes from Java Standard Edition.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
