Hello , is it possible to use JForum on Liferay as a portlet ?
It will be good if you natively support Liferay.

Kadir,
Welcome to CodeRanch!
Note that "we" don't support JForum at all, so proposing features here won't work. Another user reported some success and some problems integrating with Liferay .

We are currently making new generation instant messenger.
Can we modify forum code or apply patch and add our own messenger utilities.
But we don't want to share full source code of messenger.
We will make JForum integration to Liferay.
Is it legal to use closed source patch and distribute the patch for JForum ?

Where do you see LifeRay and/or JForum fit into an instant messenging architecture?
Android apps – ImageJ plugins – Java web charts

JForum's License is BSD. Which means you need to keep the comment/license intact but can change. We've made heavy changes to JForum here. You aren't required to release them to the public even.
