Hello everyone , I am a new comer to the JAVA family !! But the fact is that JAVA is really exciting So I have decided to go for a professional certification !! can you guys please guide me >> I have a doubt guys, which is the entry level exam SCJP or SCJA ??

Neither. Both exams were renamed. OCPJA is now the entry level certification. Make sure you take the Java 7 versions. The Java 6 one is on a path to nowhere and not accepted as a pre-requisite to the OCPJP going forward.

Thanks a lot for the info so OCPJA is the entry level exam , and can you please suggest me some books for preparing for OCPJA ! and tell me where to start from to obtain the certification ??
