Is SCJP 6 K&B book still valid study guide for OCPJP6?

My apologies if this has been aksed previously. I would appreciate if someone could confirm that SCJP 6 guide by Kathy & Bates (link) would still be considered a valid and complete study guide for the OCPJP 6 exam.
To give a bit of background, I am OCAJ6 certified and would like to start studying for OCPJP6

yes the book is valid. infact it is one of the best book out there and thousands of people have passed their certification after reading it. though some of the topics like serialization, wait-notify are not anymore on the syllabus but still given in the book considering that book was published before the changes were made to the objectives. so you can skip these topics viz SERIALIZATION, WAIT-NOTIFY. for more information you should checkout the objectives from the oracle site
