I've 5+ years experience in java technologies and involved in designing banking modules using jax-rpc. I decided to go for latest web services certification.
What is the procedure to start this exam? Any good resources for reference?

To start java webservices certification, you must have OCPJP/SCJP certified (any version). If you already holding OCPJP/SCJP, go for Java EE web services 6 certification. You can get more info from this article Java EE 6 Web service Preparation article or refer oracle's certification pages to know this exam objectives.
