Myfaces Trinidad - JSF 1.2 facet layout

I am using the actions facet to add some buttons to the top of a myfaces trinidad table. The rendered page has use a table for the facet layout.

The challenge is to have the buttons on the left of the page, without using jQuery to remove some tds and modify widths for others, as the generated facet has several tds on the left of the page, pushing the bottons to the right. Is there a way to have the generated layout not use a table, so that I can use divs for the custom buttons?

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Alex!

I'm not up to code on Trinidad, so I didn't attempt to answer, but since no one else has either, I changed your subject in the hopes that one of our Trinidad users can help.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
