Hello All,
I am very new to Java sockets. However, I want to develop a network simulator for work. How do I get started?

It isn't clear to me why a "network simulator" requires the use of sockets at all. Are you sure you are going down the right path with that question?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
