I have Headfirst Java. How do I "add an entry to your PATH environment variable that points to the /bin directory inside the main Java directory" ?

Suppose my java jdk is install in this directory C:\Program Files\Java

Then click on my computer ,
select advance tab, in this select enviornment variable
a new window will appear with two frame - click on system variable here you will find PATH variable
Now click on PATH and then click on EDIT and just copy your java directory address until bin folder example:C:\Program Files\Java\bin and paste this
to PATH with this syntax:
;your_java_folder_address;

Note put ; before and after java path

Note that these directions are worthless if the user doesn't use windows.

There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors
