I am looking for a step by step tutorial for debugging a java web application in MyEclipse 8.

Did you look in the help? (Help | Help Contents, under Java Development Use Guide, Getting Started, Basic Tutorial))

P.S. What is Eclipse 8? Latest version (Juno) is 4.2...

I would recommend changing your title to MyEclipse by the way.
