I did Google search (probably did not provide the proper key words) but could not find answer. Therefore, I come to this forum.
<xsl:variable name="nl" select="' '"/>
I know " " represents a character; however, I cannot find which character it represents. Could anybody provide a clue? Thanks.

Open the file in a hex editor.
Find the hex codes for the characters between the quotes, and there's your answer.
