I want to take the Java SE 7 Programmer II exam (1Z0-804). I completed the 803 exam in May. I've searched the forums & I didn't find much discussion about it.
I see on the Oracle page that the exam is available, but it doesnt seem that many have taken it.
I've read K&B for Java 6, and been through the new objectives. I'm impatient to take the exam, I'm not aiming at 100%, I'll be happy with a pass.
Does any one have advice for me? Should I take my chances, as I dont have study guides & the mock exams arent available?

Thanks
Tanja

It became available fairly recently. Some of the people who took the exam took the beta version (like me, see my signature for a link on my thoughts)

I think it is worth trying presuming you did well on K&B and feel comfortable with the new topics. The decision is one between take a chance at having to spend $300 to take it again or wait.

Hi Jeanne
Thanks for your response to my question.
Your blog gives very useful tips on preparing for the exam, as well as tips for the 803 exam.

Near the bottom of the following thread, there is a list of things to study for the OCP 7 that are NOT in K&B 6 and presumably NOT in any SCJP 6 study materials.
