struts tiles 1.3.8

im using struts 1.3.8 and i have some problem with struts tiles.

    
this is my tiles-def.xml file

<!DOCTYPE tiles-definitions PUBLIC
       "-//Apache Software Foundation//DTD Tiles Configuration 1.1//EN"
       "http://struts.apache.org/dtds/tiles-config_1_1.dtd">

<definition name="layout" path="/layout.jsp">
<put name="title" value="JavaWebApp" type="string"/>
<put name="header" value="/header.jsp"/>
<put name="menu" value="/menu.jsp"/>
<put name="footer" value="/footer.jsp"/>
</definition>
</tiles-definitions>
 
and in my struts-config.xml i have following entry
 
<plug-in className="org.apache.struts.tiles.TilesPlugin">
        <set-property property="definitions-config" value="/WEB-INF/tiles-def.xml"/>
<set-property property="moduleAware" value="true"/>
<set-property property="definitions-parser-validate" value="true"/>
</plug-in>
 
and here is my jsp file called main.jsp
 
<%@ taglib uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-tiles" prefix="tiles" %>
<%
out.println("Page loaded");
%>
<tiles:insert definition="layout">
<tiles :-P	 ut name="title" type="string" value="Welcome Page" />
<tiles :-P	 ut name="body" type="string">
im angry with working in struts
</tiles :-P	 ut>
</tiles:insert>

all the things goes fine , the problem is tiles does not work eventhough
manin.jsp loaded and i get the string "Page loaded" as i given in print statement. no errors as well

For Struts 1.3 and above, there is also an entry you must make in your web.xml file. This link from our FAQ explains more about it.
