Hello All,

I am trying to test a Web service which is deployed on a test server. The details are below.

Web Service Provider : On Test server A with Web Service developed using JAX -RPC

Web Service Consumer : On Test server B with Client developed using JAX -RPC. I created the test client using RAD 7.0 (testClient.jsp)

Error Details:

When I try to invoke the method to make a web service call, I get the below exception.

"exception: WSWS3713E: Connection to the remote host XXXX:YYYY failed.Received the following error: java.io.IOException: Invalid Proxy Server Response"

Code snippet using the proxy server details:

System.setProperty("http.proxyHost", "XXXX");
System.setProperty("http.proxyPort", "YYYY");
System.setProperty("https.proxyHost", "XXXX");
System.setProperty("https.proxyPort", "YYYY");

System.setProperty("com.ibm.ssl.performURLHostNameVerification", "true");
System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs","com.ibm.net.ssl.www.protocol");
Security.addProvider(new com.ibm.jsse.JSSEProvider());
Security.setProperty("ssl.SocketFactory.provider", "com.ibm.jsse2.SSLSocketFactoryImpl");
Security.setProperty("ssl.ServerSocketFactory.provider", "com.ibm.jsse2.SSLServerSocketFactoryImpl");
System.setProperty("javax.net.debug","true");

The network team says that the ports / firewall are open. Can someone guide me if there is anything else that has to be implemented in the code?

Thanks
Kranthi

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
