May I ask how long does it expect for Oracle to upgrade expert level exams to Java 7? Especially two of the Web exams.
I am thinking about studying for OCPJP 6 or OCPJP 7. The topics in JP 7 are kinda interesting: JDBC, Localization, Concurrency package.
But it does not really makes sense to me to take them if the expert level exams are not happening in this year. If that is the case, I need to go back and study which Java 7 feature Java 6 does not have.
Could anyone please offer some opinion? Thank you so much!

Why? Its not a hard-bound rule that you have to give web related exams this year.

Again, are you talking about Java SE or Java EE? Because Java SE 7(and programer's certification for the same) is already launched. As far as I know, Java EE 7 is not yet launched, so its definitely gonna take some time till we see web related exams for Java EE 7. If you want to give those exams, you can wait till the exams release.
By the way, it is quite common to give a certification for a particular version and then giving upgrade version for same in new version. e.g. If you give a web related exam for Java EE 6, then after a while, when exam for Java EE 7 is launched, you can opt for upgrade exam. It will contain only 'extra' part - which is new in Java EE 7.
I'm also a bit confused by your question, but maybe this will help...
The EE certifications require that you have either an SCJP or an OCP certification. Historically, these pre-reqs have never been tied to a particular version of the exam. (This doesn't guarantee that pre-reqs might be tied to versions in the future, but I personally think it's unlikely.)
In other words, any SCJP or OCP certification satisfies the pre-req to get an EE certification. And I believe that won't change, no matter what version of EE certification you go for.
Does that help?

Thanks Anayonkar, Bert.
That's not really what I was asking for, but it did help me to clear some thoughts. I think the problem does not really matter anymore.
