I am just wonderding if struts 2 supports backward compatibility with Strust 1.x.

Please let me know.

No, it doesn't. If you move to Struts 2, you must migrate your application code.

Thanks , But can both struts 1 and struts 2 can be used in application at the same time as it is not possible to do migration in one time.

It is possible to have a struts 2 filter mapped to "*.action" and a struts 1 servlet mapped to "*.do" both defined for the same application. For more information on this see the following link:
