Hello Forum Members, thank you for looking at my project.

I am in the process of creating a GUI for a customer order of plastic bags. I am aiming for a final presentation of a gui I am including in the attachment.

I have a list field but need to change to a text field where I want to display the results of the customer selection when the View Order button is pressed. I also have a Cancel button and want to bring all fields to no option being selected.

I appreciate your help, as I am having difficulty integrating the text field into the frame and also how to put the results into de text field. Thank you.

My code so far is:

Why are you using Flow Layout? That is the default for panels anyway, but I would prefer something which keeps the number of visible components, like grid.
Why are you using Panels, which are AWT components? You ought to be using Swing throughout, though maybe we shall all be using JavaFX in future.
Have you got some sort of listener in mind, which you are planning to use? Are you going to use a button to transfer the details from your lists to the order?
I think you need to work out the logic of how you go from clicking a line in a list to getting on order. I suggest you get an order working without a GUI, then you can add a GUI on top of that. I suggest you ought to keep the business logic and the display in different classes, which means they can be changed independently of each other.
I agree. Here's the link:
