Implementing a Java Agent

I am required to build a Java Profiler Agent using YourKit Java Profiler that can be a attached to a Virtual Machine that is listed. The Virtual Machines running can be listed using the following code:

There is also provision for self profiling an application. The code is:

The situation that I have encountered is to convert the above profiling code to an Agent that can be attached to the Virtual Machine. I am not familiar with the norms of building an agent and my searches haven't produced any utilizable results for this situation. So at this point, any and every help in this regard is more than welcome.
