action doesnot excute?

jsp page invoke uri/test.do?id=1, the action's execute method doesnot execute and directly jumping into another jsp2 page?
can anyone help me?

Are you sure this code compiles, I mean I cant find any return statement here. If it so, then returns "success" , using this line (after print() )

  return  mapping.findForward("success");
