We are trying to install Apache Tomcat 6.0.35 to work with BMC Remedy 7.5. This is to be installed on the mid-tier servers allow the Apache upgrade. The issue we are having is after installing the new version the configuration file allows http login but not https.
<Connector port="8029" protocol="HTTP/1.1" connectionTimeout="90000" redirectPort="8443" />

URIEncoding="UTF-8" enableLookups="false" tomcatauthentication="false" acceptCount="100" maxKeepAliveRequests="-1" maxThreads="500"/>

I can connect to the midtier via the following link:

But I cant get to it via what I would expect as follows:

Anyone have any tips on how to resolve this it would be great?

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Cliff!

The reason you can't get to it is that every protocol has an implied (default) port. For http, it's port 80, which is why you had to explicitly say ":8029" to access Tomcat.

For https, the default port is 443. So your https request is targeting the wrong port. You need to add the ":8443" part to your URL.

An IDE is no substitute for an Intelligent Developer.
I agree. Here's the link:
