So I'm currently doing this below.
But instead of shoving all the jars at the root. I want one special jar libs.jar to go into a lib\ directory.
How do I change this?

<ear earfile="${bin.dir}/hello.ear" appxml="${powerear.descriptors}/application.xml">
<fileset dir="${bin.dir}" includes="*.jar,*.war" />
</ear>

You have to first build a JAR with the contents you want and then you can place the JAR into the lib directory in the EAR.

Look at the "Merging archives" section of the Jar task documentation: http://ant.apache.org/manual/Tasks/jar.html

By the way, please change the topic for you post to better describe the issue you are asking about. Makes it easier for other to browse the forum looking for solutions to their problems.
