I was installing a download a program to learn java. When I downloaded it, it installed a virus. I removed the virus but it made changes to my computer before I removed it. It installed an appbarrio8 toolbar and changed files to block search engines. Is it possible that it made some changes to my java files? Any tips or advice?

You might try Windows Defender Offline (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/166445-windows-defender-offline.html), it might be able to remove the gunk that got installed. If it doesn't, there are several other crapware removal solutions that you can try.

PS please change the topic title to something that describes the problem mentioned in your post - it will help other Ranchers to better know what you post is about when they browse the forum.
