Multiple updates from fired

I am using websphere and I see that there are updates fired for an entity which is not updated or commited by code.

Usually update statement is fired before and find but here I have not updated/commited the object.

Any help/tips will be appriciated.

Some code snippets explaining the issue in detail and info about any errors/exceptions etc.. would help people in understanding the query and providing any directions.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
