I know Paul loves rocket stoves. Here's one for backpacking that can charge your iPhone while you make s'mores!

Wow, charging your cell phone while in deep backcountry. Kinda defeats the purpose, don'tcha think?

I suppose you could charge an acceptable backpacking accessory, like a flashlight, GPS or digital camera as well. I have a cool, lightweight, all-in-one device I use when I'm in the woods.

Charging your phone on the penultimate day could be handy, or if you get bored in your tent and like to pay games or listen to music. Phones aren't just for calling people anymore.

How can you be bored in your tent? You should be exhausted from hiking and marveling at the outdoors. The tent is where you sleep and make love.
To me, the idea of listening to music or playing games defeats the purpose.

Maybe because I am more English, you can spend days in your tent, and you can't make love the kids will hear.
