OCJP 7 - Best approach

Since you now have to be a certified associate to take the OCJP 7 exam, I was wondering if it would be better to get the OCJP 6 certification first. This would also cost less, since Oracle's 'upgrade certification' is cheaper.

Welcome to CodeRanch!

Firstly, what is your question(if any)? All I'm reading is - an approach you are thinking about.

If you are interested in which approach to follow, you can SearchFirst, for this topic has been discussed several times. There's no correct answer to this, as both approaches(OCAJP7 + OCPJP7, or OCPJP6 + OCPJP7 upgrade) have pros and cons.
