Hi
I am a Java J2EE developer , just started trying my hands on mobile app development
Want my app to be available on iphone + android ( may be more ) without loosing on the intuitiveness and usability on UI.
I am looking for some options following MVC pattern , where i can
  • keep my data in XML ( model layer )
  • write my controller in java ( expect that to run on iOS and Android )
  • and for View i am hoping to find something that runs on max possible platforms (iOS , android , blackberry are must )

  • because of time limitations , I don't like the idea of learning Objective-C for iOS and different language for blackberry and still different language for android and trying to come up with a UI which is common and equally intuitive across all platforms

wanted to understand best available development options both "free to use" and "paid" from your experience.

did a bit of research on net found
  • Free Options :- PhoneGap http://www.tricedesigns.com/2012/02/14/what-is-phonegap-other-common-questions/
  • Paid Options :- http://www.kendoui.com/mobile.aspx , http://www.infinitemonkeys.mobi/en

  • looking forward to learn from your experience , and make an informed start , trying to avoid start learning one thing and coming back to another (half way ) and start again.
