Best way to develop desktop based application in java

Hi,

I am new to java. What is the best way to develop desktop based applications in java and if Using Window builder (swing ) is the best, how to work with it in ecplise IDE.

Please help out.

If you're new to Java (as you say) I recommend you write all the code by hand to get to know with Swing better.
Actually, if you are that new in Java, jumping right into Swing doesn't seem to be a good idea at all.
