Just stumbled across "Death By UML Fever" by Alex Bell. It's a tongue-in-cheek look at a real problem and despite being from 2004 (when dinosaurs ruled the earth...), a lot of what he says certainly still applied to the last enterprise Java project I worked on.

He's recently written a companion piece "Death By Agile Fever", which seems equally relevant to my recent project experiences, unfortunately!
