Having to give up Safari.

I like using Safari. But I have to give it up. This week I had an issue, that was amazing. I had 6GB of ram free. I opened Safari to Yahoo. Clicked one of their stupid entertainment stories. Then something on that page, even though I had extensions turned off, made my memory go to -10MB in 20 seconds.

It is disabled. Still memory leaks.

Hmm, I have much more trouble with Chrome and (especially) Firefox consuming memory like it was potato chips. But I guess that's true of all browsers.

I was tempted to switch from Safari and then found the solution (to my problem - not Mark's). Which I tweeted today:
jeanneboyarsky: [not in english] helps with "google docs don't work in safari 6 problem" - gist: change user agent to safari 5 windows http://t.co/bBZiNY5L

Frustrating though. And I suspect it doesn't stay changed and I'll have to do this regularly. And given that I'm currently planning two events where all the docs are google docs, this comes up a lot!

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
