Hello ranchers, I am a b.tech-cs 2010 batch passed out.. for the past two years i,ve been supporting my father in our family bussiness but we recently had to shut it down because of the continous losses incurred and instead have rented the property.. i,ve been studying for java certifications for past few months and have completed ocjp6 and currently preparing for ocwcd and this community has been so helpful for beginners like us.. my queries are regarding the fact that getting a entry level

Yes, you can still get an entry level job. I recommend asking your university for help in this space since they often have access to entry level listings.

Yes,but recruiters need to be given a reason for any gap present.
Searching job sites will you an idea as to what skills employers expect from a 0-1 yr experience programmer.
If you know most of that you could work in the industry with your classmates from 2010 batch.Or else you could get in as a fresher.

There's no gap. Rajiv worked for the family business. I expect his CV says this. It's not tech experience which makes him entry level/fresher. But that's ok. It's not like he's been trying to find a tech job for two years and failing at it.

I don't think he will get a comparable job to a 2011 grad though as he has a year less experience. There is a huge difference between no experience and 1 year. It's not just a matter of skills either.
