First of all I would like to welcome both of you for our Java Forum!!
These days I'm preparing for OCAJP exam. Until today I was using SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Exam 310-065 book by kathy Sierra and Bert Bates as my studying material as i thought it was the best supplement. But when I got to know about your book my mind started asking questions. And I was so happy once I got to know that I have the chance to get answers for them from Edward Finegan and Robert Liguori. ok.Here're my questions.
1. what benefits will I get if I choose your book as my helper for my exam?
2. If I have already bought SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Exam 310-065 book by kathy Sierra and Bert Bates, will it be worth buying your book as well?
Hi Sujeewa, Our book is designed to cover all of the material on the OCAJP exam. We don't cover items that are not on the exam. The SCJP covers the OCAPJ content but it also covers a lot of stuff that is not needed for this exam. You can definitely use the SCJP book, but make sure to focus on the chapters that are relevant to the OCAJP and not the stuff on the SCJP. The benefit of our book is that you know the entire thing is tailored to the OCAJP.
Thanks for your advice. I know it will be worth having your book for the preparation of OCAJP. I just downloaded the chapter, which is available for free download in your book and right now I'm reading it. It sounds great.
