This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Actually I wanna know that which book is the best for learning latest version of Struts. I've basic knowledge of Servlets & JSPs including JSTL & custom Tags. Please let me know what are the prerequisites for learning the same and how long will it take to be Struts Master .
I wanted to tell you that probably you will find Struts 2 far better than Struts. If I were you I'd rather learn Struts 2 and in that case it would be better to study Struts only for a while and early begin studying Struts 2.
Once you know Struts and you want to begin working in a real project, you may find very usefull to integrate Struts 2 with other frameworks that cover other concerns. Just as an example I think that Spring2+Struts2+Sitemesh or Spring2+Struts2+Tiles are very good teams. They work very well together.
I hope it was of your interest
I feel there must be far better ways to do what I do... that makes learning even funnier
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
