Just saw this story about Rod "Mr Spring" Johnson joining Typesafe, the company behind a lot of Scala goodness. Maybe they want to create a Spring-like framework for Scala? Although given that Spring is now probably roughly as complex as J2EE was when Mr Johnson decided to create Spring as an alternative to J2EE, I'm not sure if this would be a good or a bad thing...

What a good time for the Scala community. I'm glad that I've made the right decision to delve into learning Scala.
