Oracle E-Business Financials Integration with third party app

I'm trying to retrieve data from an Oracle E-Business Financials (12.1.3) Suite in order to collect General Ledger and Fixed Asset information. This data will used to integrate this information to a third party application. I have researched the Oracle Integration Repository (iRep) and did not see any published web service apis that could be used to retrieve the fundamental info, such as account numbers, cost center numbers, asset ids, etc. I would prefer to use published APIs but it has been suggested that I could use direct PL/SQL calls to the database.

Can anyone explain to me how this can be done? If it can't be done, I would appreciate knowing that as well.
