I am using logback for the logging purpose in my application. There are some third party libraries imported in that application. the logging information of the third party application is going into tomcat log files not into the log files that i have specified in logback.xml. Can anyone help me out?

That's a pretty vague problem statement. Without knowing anything about your deployment or how you configured (or tried to configure) logback, it's impossible to say for sure.

As a guess, though, you either didn't put logback.xml in the right place, or else you need to set something else up to tell the core logging system explicitly to use logback. Or possibly your logback jar file is not in the right place, so it has to fall back on default logging.

My logback.properties is in the correct place, it is logging all the info and error statements whichever i have specified in my application. But what i am asking is, it is not logging the events for the third party jars that I have included in my application. those are still going into the default tomcat logs.

Also, I am not sure which logging framework those third party jars have used
