Hi! hope you all are doing well. I have a problem. Please guide me...
I configure the configuration file as
<session-factory>
<property name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect</property>
<property name="connection.url">jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/testing</property>
<property name="connection.username">root</property>
<property name="connection.password">root</property>
<property name="connection.driver_class">com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</property>
<property name="show_sql">true</property>
<property name="myeclipse.connection.profile">Mysql</property>
<property name = "hibernate.query.factory_class">org.hibernate.hql.classic.ClassicQueryTranslatorFactory</property>
<mapping resource="Contact.hbm.xml" />
</session-factory>

and mapping file as
<hibernate-mapping>
<class name="contact.model.Contact" table="contacts">
<id name="id" column="ID" type="java.lang.Long">
<generator class="increment"></generator>
</id>
<property name="firstName" column="FIRST_NAME" type="java.lang.String"></property>
<property name="lastName" column="LAST_NAME" type="java.lang.String"></property>
<property name="emailId" column="EMAIL_ID" type="java.lang.String"></property>
<property name="cellNo" column="CELL_NO" type="java.lang.String"></property>
<property name="birthDate" column="BIRTH_DATE" type="java.sql.Date"></property>
<property name="website" column="WEBSITE" type="java.lang.String"></property>
<property name="created" column="CREATED_DATE" type="java.util.Date"></property>
</class>
</hibernate-mapping>

And most important I am able to insert data in table using the above settings.
But when i am trying to get objects using following code

SessionFactory sessionFactory = new Configuration().configure().buildSessionFactory();

Session session=sessionFactory.openSession();
session.beginTransaction();
List contacts = null;
try {
contacts = session.createQuery("from contacts").list();
} catch (HibernateException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
session.getTransaction().rollback();
}
session.getTransaction().commit();

I am getting error that is shown below

Your domain class name is "Contact"

But your query shows "contacts". Change it to use "Contact". It will work. We have to use mapped java class name, not table name in the HQL
