I am just confused to take the scjp exam 1.5 or java 6 please suggest me.

Welcome to CodeRanch!

I don't think the Java 5 exam is given anymore. Making your choice between Java 6 and 7. There is an FAQ on top that explains the difference. A key one is the Java 7 OCPJP exam has a pre-requisite while the Java 6 one does not.
