Please I am new to tomcat server, I want to install it with cyclos. According to cyclos documentation I am to start tomcat by clicking startup.bat. When I did this it only prompts and closes. i do not know what is going on. Please your wealth of experience shared to resolve this will be highly appreciated.

That JRebel thing was an AD, not a comment.

Cyclos gave you bad advice - open a command prompt window, navigate to the directory that has starup.bat and execute it from the command line.

The window will stay open and hopefully you will find meaningful error messages.
