anyone knows a site where i can read about Backtracking using the 8 queen move, knight tour and other related thing in chess using the java algl. Or videos would be fine

If you google it, you will find a lot examples of applets demonstrating these problems, usually with source code included so you can see what's going on. That way you would get your answer much faster.

I already did but i'm not using the applet, rather i'm output the moves by using numbers

something like this:

part of this program output the board and the other will do the move like the 8 queen moves
