Hi All,

I'm facing problem with special character ó (o acute).

Problem is i created script containing update quiries and run it,updated data has character ó (oacute).OS m using is Windows XP.

I send the script (encoded in UTF-8) to UAT where they are using LINUX .Script was executed and updated columns are having correct character (ó) as in DEV.

But in DEV it is displaying properly in GUI,whereas in UAT it is displaying as ó.

Please help me to resolve this.

Thanks-Arun

too few details, so I can guess only, but have a look here:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/connector-j-reference-charsets.html
Try to configure JDBC driver to use UTF-8 through the characterEncoding property, to make sure auto-detection doesn't cause a problem here.
