Hi Michael,

Just wondering to what extent did you cover the new features to Java 7, as I think they were plentiful but not really seen too much on the exam.

Hi Robert -

Since the OCA exam doesn't call any of them out, I just covered ones that happen "along the way," such as expressing binary literals and using underscores to make long-string literals easier to read. I have an example using String matching in a switch statement...stuff like that. I didn't think it worth pointing out what's new in SE 7 to newbies, since Java is new to them already.

Good luck with your book!

Regards,

MIchael

Sounds good.

Good luck with your book too!

Btw, I just added your book to the OCA FAQS page: https://www.coderanch.com/how-to/java/OcajpFaq
