You do know that you need a valid license to run either an XP or Win 7 virtual machine, right? It is not sufficient to grab an existing VM and start running it - you MUST change the license/product key to a valid key that you own. For XP or Win 7 VM, you must have a full consumer license for the OS (or possibly purchase an OEM license, though there is a lot of debate about the legality of that), or for Win 7 you can have a full license for XP/Vista and then an upgrade license for Win 7. You cannot use the OEM license that came with your hardware. (Or if you have an MSDN subscription you can use one of those licenses.)
