With partial implementation of the Student class, how would i use the constructor for the class to create a new student object named stu for a student named Jane Smith whose ID number is 900123456?

It's not clear at all what you're asking. Can you try to explain more clearly please?

Also, you'll have a better chance of getting help if you ShowSomeEffort(←click). Take your best shot, show what you did, and ask specific questions about the specific parts that are giving you problems.

And welcome to the Ranch!

First of all, this "Student" class is your class right? How the heck are we supposed to know what you did? Second, by "partial implementation", can we assume that your class doesn't work? ... so, how are we supposed to do something, that we never seen before, but know that it likely doesn't work?

BTW, welcome to the ranch !!

So what exactly are you having problems with? You don't know how create an object and specify a constructor? Start here: java object creation tutorial.

Also, note that the object won't be named stu. Objects don't have names. You might have a variable named stu.

Also please BeForthrightWhenCrossPostingToOtherSites, even if you do that with Yahoo! answers.
