I found job market for Spring developer is pretty good in my area(a bid city in US midwest). But I am not sure how about other places. Any idea ?

Don't know if this is the right place for this but...why don't you just go to Monster.com, type in Spring and Java and filter out locations like Silver Spring (which will be returned for Spring).

Try looking at the investment in spring as learning good programming practice. The frameworks might come and go. So one should concentrate on the design patterns used behind the framework. Look at spring source code; it's well written. Code coverage is high. Test cases can teach one a thing or two about how to write good test cases.
