How do I access the XML file in a SOAP based Web Service

Hi ,

I am new to the world of Web Services . I am right now in the need of the XML file which is produced for the client. Can it be done ? If I have a misconception please do correct me .

Why do you want to access the raw XML? Normally your WS toolkit generate client-side source code for you that you can use to get at all the interesting parts of the response.

SOAP toolkit = SOAP stack = SOAP implementation. Examples are Axis2 and Metro (the JAX-WS reference implementation). They come with tools that generate client-side code for accessing the WS.

Thank you for the quick response ,

I am using Eclipse to create the Web Services and run them . Can you tell me if I can get it done using Eclipse or do I have to use the tool kits to accomplish it ?

I don't which SOAP implementation Eclipse uses. Its documentation should tell you how to create client-side code.
